It has now received a come-back in recent years in the field of DIYs. Coasters, vases, plates or even entire tabletops are now simply created in the style itself from home.
To create a TERRAZZO effect, you need small to medium-sized slivers of JESIN, which you simply color as you like. Stir a small amount of JESIN, dye it (here, of course, the amount of JESIN can be enough for several colors), and spread it very flat with the help of a stick (4EVERSTICKS) on a plastic sheet or silicone pad. After curing for about 20 minutes, the thin JESIN sheets are dry and can now be easily crushed by hand. The size is entirely up to you! If you are already in the process of making these cracks, then make more of them and simply store them sorted by color in containers.
In the next step you stir yourself again a JESIN mass. This mass determines your base color. The terrazzo chips are then simply added to this mass, mixed and poured into any silicone mold. Wait about 20-30 minutes again, then you can demold a cast.
In most cases it is necessary to sand the surface a little bit so that the terrazzo look is 100% visible. Here, simply apply wet sandpaper and carefully sand the surface.
The size of the terrazzo chips ultimately determines the look of your creations.
